Jennifer Norris testifies before the House Armed Service Committee regarding the abuse at Lackland Air Force Base.

Jennifer Norris, a staff member for the Military Rape Crisis Center, testified today before the House Armed Service Committee regarding the abuse at Lackland Air Force Base.

Witnesses include: Gen. Mark A. Welsh III,  U.S. Air Force chief of staff; Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr., commander of U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command; David Lisak, forensic consultant; Retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Cindy McNally and TSgt Jennifer Norris.

    I bet you everyone wept openly and public ally rended their clothes and vowed to the heavens ‘The Horseplay will Stop’. Then what? They’ll grab some beers at the nearest ‘Titty-Bar’ and nothing will change!!! Quote a regulation, any service regulation (even Federal law) and try and get it enforced!!!

    I went to Army CID when my troops were raping federal prisoners and you know what Army CID told me? If they ain’t struggling, it’s consentual and if the sex is consensual, it’s none of our business!!! When I went to the FBI, they hit the roof and the Army retaliated against me!!! The army even interfered with the FBI’s investigation—I have notes!!!

    I mean, look at Heditha (Iraq) 26 civilians murdered in cold blood, sixty wounded and what is the penalty for this war crime? The SSG lost a stripe!!! Of the FIVE AGR NCOs raping federal prisoners, the SSG lost a stripe and was forced to go to another unit!!! Army MST my ass!!! Army sexual harassment my ass!!! Army Fraternization policy my ass!!! UCMJ my ass!!! Military Whistleblower’s Protection Act my ass!!! What unenforceable promises did they tell you to make you go away?!!!
