International Center for Survivor Justice
Survivor-led justice across borders
In partnership with the Global Women Impact Fund, we work with grassroots organizations in countries shaped by U.S. militarization and occupation.
Our work
We collaborate with local grassroots organizations to support survivors and their families and to strengthen community-based responses to sexual violence committed by members of the United States Armed Forces.
Grounded in survivor leadership and cross-border solidarity, ICSJ recognizes sexual violence as inseparable from broader systems of impunity, institutional protection, and dehumanization that put whole communities at risk. Through advocacy, crisis response, survivor-centered services, and partnership with trusted local organizations, we work to address abuse, confront the structures that enable it, and advance healing, dignity, accountability, and justice.
We support grassroots initiatives abroad because local communities are best positioned to define their own needs, strategies, and resistance. In the United States, we advocate for reparations, material support, and accountability for women and girls harmed by members of the U.S. Armed Forces abroad.
Grants
Over $1 million USD in grants to grassroots, women-led organizations that support women and girls in communities affected by U.S. imperialism over the past sixty years.
